SERVE THE CITY GENEVA -
Newsletter
Serve the City Geneva's mission is to provide volunteer assistance to organizations serving the poor and marginalized of Geneva. We are pleased to announce the next concentration of service will be in conjunction with a world wide call to action in tribute to the life of Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela Day not only
celebrates Nelson Mandela’s life, but it is also a global call to action
for people to recognize their ability to have a positive effect on
others around them.
Past events
The day hopes to inspire people to embrace the values that Mandela shared. These values include democracy, freedom, equality, diversity, reconciliation, and respect. Serve the City Geneva supports these values and encourages all to participate in any activity such as sport, art, education, music and culture to help us promote these values. Many facilities Serve the City partners are slowing down at the beginning of the summer months, no major STC event is scheduled for the week but we are asking all to be encouraged to help your neighbor or work on a project in your community. We will post the available projects on the website and keep you informed in the weeks to come. Nature Fair Last May there was a big Nature Fair at Zoo Garenne in Le Vaud, Switzerland. Serve the City was pleased to help prepare for this special Event. Some corporations participated in service events sorting clothes, laying carpet and also helping at the soup kitchen. Please keep checking our website for project updates, for signups, and further information on projects on offer. Also insure that you and your friends have signed up for the STC Newsletter. needed donations! Work with us We
are looking for people to work with us in areas such as projects,
