Dear volunteers,

A couple of new projects have come up for Serve the City.

Ukraine Relief is looking for help. They badly need some volunteers to sort out goods and put them in packages. Mostly baby food, medicine and medical supplies. There are two sorting centers, one in Thonex, the other in Satigny. There are two shifts: from 9 to 13 hours, and from 14 to 18 hours. Mo to Fr. Please indicate dates and shifts of interest in comments below. The Soup Kitchen across from the train station needs a paint job. We are looking for about 6 painters on the weekend of 26 and 27 March. Jardin de Montbrillant, Rue de Montbrillant 3, Genève. Indicate day(s) of interest in comments below. More details will be available when you signup.

For a while we are still looking for sandwich makers Mondays and Tuesdays. There are more people opting to take-away the meal than to sit in. Sandwiches delivered by STCG volunteers are greatly helping out. “The CR team was really not prepared to see so many come to get the meal and we ran out of food. Luckily we had the sandwiches to hand out. “

And yes we are still supporting creating food packets for some 5,000 of the cities people who have be hurt economically from the Covid pandemic.
