We have a team planning a Christmas/New Years party for the Ukrainians staying in the nursing home.

We have already a team of 5 Serve The City‘s volunteers working hard on this project. We found a group of people from the local church for singing and entertaining, some sponsors of chocolate as a part of Christmas presents. I have picked up three little presents for kids from the donation of the US mission. We found the decorations for the venue.
What we still need :
3-4 people on the 29th December from 1 pm to 5 pm to set up the room (decorations/ tables/ food), to serve the food and to clean up the venue at the end. Russian/Ukranian speakers welcomed but not necessary. We look forward to seeing you there.
We also are still taking signups for Partage.. We have needs in January for volunteer to SORT donated goods, and we are still providing food packages for 2,000 recipients each week..

Hope you all had a great Christmas!The Jardin is planning a New Year Eve meal for regulars and other less fortunate or marginalised people in Geneva.Like the Christmas Eve meal, the NY Eve meal will be sit down one.Volunteers are expected to arrive on the 31st at 09:00 am at the Jardin for preparation of the meal and the tables. This could be done by 11:30 am.Then we will come back at 7:00 p.m. to finish the installation and be ready around 8:30 p.m. We will from 8:30 p.m. the public and serve them at the table.Have a good week and see you Saturday!A big thank you to all !Ridwan Siddiqui
